| It all started with a conversation I had with my Grandfather. He gave me $5,000.00 and the Funky Monkey opened its doors in April of 2005. Leigh started the business in her husband's warehouse and with a lot of hard work and much ambition moved to a 2nd location in the North Hills area of Meridian, MS. Soon we outgrew that store and built a 4,000sqft building also located in the North Hills area. Soon I decided to take on a partner and who better to do that with than my cousin Mary Jackson. We opened our second location in Madison. Mrs. Leigh oversees the store in Meridian and Mary oversees the store in Madison. Mary and I couldn't ask for a better Funky Monkey staff, without them none of this would be possible. |  |
